The new flagship model in this line, the NX1 is packed with their latest features and technologies, like UHD 4K video recording and "Smart" Wi-Fi connectivity with NFC tech. The camera boasts an APS-C sized 28-megapixel BSI CMOS image sensor, which is controlled by their new DRIMe V image processor. Continue Reading Panasonic announces new LX-series prosumer camera: the Lumix DMC-LX100 SThe sixth generation of their popular LX-series of prosumer digicams, the new LX100 offers some serious power. To start, the camera includes a Micro Four Thirds size Live MOS image sensor (the same as found in Panasonic and Olympus ILCs), which offers 12.8MP of resolution. They've mated this sensor to a high-quality 24-75mm optical zoom lens, which offers a maximum aperture range of f/1.7-2.8 for great low-light performance and pleasing bokeh. While most cameras top out at 1080/60P video, the LX100 boasts full 4K video at 30 frames per second, along with a new "Hybrid Photography 4K Photo mode". You can shoot in burst mode at up to 11fps at full resolution, and the camera features a high speed shutter at up to 1/4,00o of a second (mechanical) or 1/16,000 of a second (electronic).
