Over the last few years, Canon's EOS Rebel series of entry level DSLRs has become a fertile market for those wishing to make the jump to DSLR while remaining budget conscious. For 2012, Canon has announced the T4i, described as their flagship entry level model. Previous models, the T3i and T3, will remain in production as more affordable options. The T2i is slated to be discontinued (so look out for steep discounts). On the surface, the T4i boasts similar specs to the T3i -- 18 megapixels, vari-angle display, 5 frames per second burst shooting, Full 1080p HD video recording (in 24 or 30 frames per second), and compatibility with all Canon EF and EF-S lenses. Sakar Launches Ultra-Thin 1080p Polaroid Camcorders

Sakar International has announced the launch of a few new Polaroid branded 1080p camcorders. Of particular note is the iD820, which the company calls "one of the world's thinnest," measuring in at just a half-inch wide and weighing a mere four ounces. It also allows you to record both 1080p and standard definition video at the same time for quicker uploads. You can find it for $179. Kodak is Ending Sales of Inkjet Printers - More Layoffs on the Way

Kodak is taking another step forward in the restructuring process, and the newest piece of the business to go is printers. The company has announced that it will be putting a halt to consumer printer sales and laying off 200 more employees than previously planned. Samsung is Giving out Cameras to Those in the UK Named David Bailey

Samsung's new promotion is an interesting one. In order to celebrate their new NX1000, they're giving out cameras to UK residents that happen to share the name of one of Britain's finest photographers. The only real catch is that you have to use the camera and that you allow Samsung rights to your photos. Things are a little fuzzy on how long you get the camera for, but it seems like it might be yours for good as long as you participate in the promotion. "Legally speaking, we are loaning you the camera for the duration of the campaign, but as long as you take part by submitting photographs," says the Samsung site, "the camera is yours to keep."...
