Q. What Should I Buy?
A. Reader Bill Sotak wants to transition from his mid-1970s film Nikons to a current DSLR, and wants one with external dials for manual control of aperture and shutter. Current DSLRs have control wheels, and—if there are two of them—offer fast and convenient manual exposure control. The Nikon D7000 ($1,200, street, body only) and higher models have two command wheels and can use older AI Nikkor lenses with metering.
