Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Review

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Review

With smartphones gaining on point-n-shoot cameras as one's means of capturing day to day snapshots, innovative manufacturers, like Samsung, are looking to create products that will give consumers the portability and functionality they seek; with some quality and performance to boot. Enter the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, the world's first smartphone to offer a 10x optical zoom lens. This hybrid smartphone/point-n-shoot camera is the second model we've seen from Samsung in the Galaxy line-up. While it shares some of the same functionality we saw with the Samsung Galaxy Camera, the S4 Zoom has taken things to the next level. Not only does the S4 Zoom offer a fully capable Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS, but it's also a 3G/4G capable phone. Currently, only available via the AT&T network, the S4 Zoom operates like any of Samsung's popular Galaxy smartphones. However, this one packs a 16-megapixel digital camera with a 10x optical zoom lens. Other features include a nice 4.3" OLED touchscreen display, Optical Image Stabilization technology, 8GB or internal memory, a microSD card slot, 1.5GB or RAM, and... Continue Reading

The FG16 is also supported by their full line of external accessories, like underwater lighting sets, color correction filters, and even some wide angle and telephoto conversion lenses. One really cool feature of the FG16 is that Fantasea included a built-in moisture detector inside the housing, which gives you even more confidence that water won't get to your PowerShot G16...
