Made for those of us who like smartphones with a smaller footprint, the S5 Minis is touted as being a more compact version of their flagship Galaxy S5. However, looking at the specs we see more than just a slim down in size and weight. To gain a more pocket friendly form factor with the S5 Mini, you are sacrificing some features and performance. For starters, the S5 Mini sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.4GHz quad-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM, versus the S5's 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB of RAM. Next the screen size drops to 4.5" with a resolution of 326ppi (verses the 432ppi 5.1" screen of the S5). While a smaller screen is expected, it would have been nice if Samsung would have keep the resolution up a bit higher. the D810 Hot off the press, Nikon USA has just rolled out a very impressive new D-series powerhouse; the Nikon D810. The days of using a DSLR for still photos only are long gone, and with the advancements in HD video recording from professional series models, like the D810, even serious cinematographers are using these high-end cameras to shoot everything from TV commercials to movies. While the D810 touts some top-of-the-line features to help professional photogs freeze a moment in time, Nikon has really upgraded this model with features that are aimed directly at those looking to shoot a lot of video; high-quality video.
